Athletic Gear
You may be playing by the rules, but are you still playing dirty?
You play hard and at the end of every game the proof is in your gear. Like sponges, the fabrics and padded elements in your equipment soak up sweat, oils, and organic matter. As these build-up, your gear takes on an unpleasantly pungent odour, but beneath the surface, something more serious is at play — your gear is becoming a breeding ground for harmful bacteria, mould, germs, fungi, and parasites.
Left unchecked, those pathogens can cause any number of afflictions from a mild skin or respiratory irritation that merely throws you off your game; to severe — and even life-threatening — ailments that take you out of the game entirely.
